wise words by Catherine Marshall

I want to share this paragraph from a book i'm reading called Christy, by Catherine Marshall.  It really spoke to me and i hope it will do the same for you:

"You see, Christy, evil is real––and powerful. It has to be fought, not explained away, not fled. And God is against evil all the way. So each of us has to decide where we stand, how we're going to live our lives. We can try to persuade ourselves that evil doesn't exist; live for ourselves and wink at evil. We can say that it isn't so bad after all, maybe even try to call it fun by clothing it in silks and velvets. We can compromise with it, keep quiet about it and say it's none of our business. Or we can work on God's side, listen for His orders on strategy against the evil, no matter how horrible it is, and know that He can transform it."

post-rain beauty

After complaining about the rain yesterday, this beauty made it worth while.  Thank you, Lord, for giving us such a beautiful promise.

warning: this post is really random

This week has been so busy.  and rainy.  and a little dreadful.  i've been making smoothies at an attempt to stay cheerful.  but really, all i want to do is curl up on the couch and watch Harry Potter.  i know that probably sounds really random, but it all makes perfect sense in my head.  i should just go to bed.  

home run movie.

I went to see Home Run today with my family!  It was so beautiful outside today, i almost hated to spend it watching a movie.  but that movie was definitely worth it.  it was really great!  if you haven't seen it, i suggest you go.  like right now.

hello, spring !

Spring is here and i'm jumping for joy!  it's so nice being able to wear short sleeves.  i sure hope your spring has started off as wonderfully as mine has !
