How you know it's officially Christmastime–
1. non-stop Hallmark movies
2. sales in every store
3. christmas music on the radio (!!!)
4. finals are coming...
5. lights on the trees & bushes & roofs & doors & windows & banisters

I wrote a poem.

By Lynn Tucker
I am from the willow tree, whose life was cut short
I am from metal slides and monkey bars and mulch-covered
hands
I am from the code word Cheeto–which had nothing to do with
acting like
pirates
pirates
I am from grilled cheeses and homemade peach ice cream
From pink liquid medicine that made me nauseous
I am from Jaci Velasquez music and dancing around the big
green chair
I am from “Kill The Rat Again” as my siblings ran all over
the house
with croquet sticks
with croquet sticks
I am from the whistling kettle and the brewing coffee pot
From the aroma of chocolate chip cookies spilling out of the
kitchen
I am from the Millers and Odoms; from Arizona to Tennessee
I am from little knowledge of Mamaw and too much knowledge
of Papaw
I am from Treehouse and praise team and “How Great Is Our
God”
I am from two loving parents and two fun-loving siblings
I am from the Tucker tribe; the youngest of the five

A road trip out west.
I spent the first two weeks of July out west, and it was such a liberating experience. I've been to New Mexico and Arizona before, but this time was somehow different. I've grown so fond of the mountains and desert that I may even want to live there. I do love tennessee, but there is just something so exhilarating about standing atop a mountain and looking down on the earth. I hope to road trip out west more often.

Industrial buildings & abandoned trains
This is Katie. She rocks. We had a little adventure in nashville yesterday & came across some really neat (and creepy) locations. It was fun.
